A LITTLE BIT ABOUT NICOLA DEVAS

Nicola Devas spent time developing and studying oil painting and completing a diploma with the wonderfully talented Martin Kinnear.

As a criminal law barrister and having volunteered as a Samaritan she has seen many aspects of life and it is these memories that she paints.

Her paintings tell extraordinary stories of life, using colour and shapes to compose her paintings and provoke emotion and discussion.

Matisse, Picasso and Hockney are major influences - the provocation is her own!

She believes a painting should always ask but never tell.
